Now being too old for hostels and overnight buses, but not quite rich enough to "always" fly business class, I share my lived experience and practical advice to help you get the most out of your trips and hopefully save a bit of money along the way.

All articles are from places I’ve actually been. No filters, no fake “hidden gems,” and definitely no influencer fluff, just straightforward advice for people who prefer good value and need at least eight hours of sleep. As for my travel credentials: I’ve visited 65 countries (as the start of 2026) and spend a large part of my year exploring the world. The rest of my time is divided between planning more trips, thinking about travel, and unfortunately working to pay for it.
