How to Get to Wadi Rum

From Amman

The drive takes about 4 to 5 hours via the Desert Highway (Route 15).

You can take a JETT bus from Amman to Aqaba, and from Aqaba take another bus to Wadi Rum.

One thing I noticed with JETT bus is it wasn't possible to book the bus from outside of Jordan.

From Aqaba

It’s just an hour’s drive, so this is a more convenient option if you're staying in Aqaba. If you are without a car, getting a taxi is yor best bet at around 20JD (28.25USD) one way

If you are on more of a budget you can also take the bus. Minibuses run between Aqaba and Wadi Rum several times a day, but there’s no set schedule. Drivers wait until the minibus is full before departing. To get an idea of departure times, ask the drivers in Aqaba the day before.
